Elevate Appoints Elizabeth Moulton Chief Talent and People Officer

CHARLOTTE, NC – Monday, September 18, 2023: Elevate, the best-in-class sports and entertainment consulting firm, has today announced the appointment of award-winning industry leader Elizabeth (Liz) Moulton to the newly created role of Chief Talent and People Officer, reporting to Elevate CEO | Chairman Al Guido. The 2018 Sports Business Journal “Game Changer” Honoree will be responsible for driving Elevate’s people and talent agenda and overseeing the build of a new division, Elevate Talent.  In addition to driving the growth strategy of Elevate as a company, Moulton will spearhead the formation of Elevate Talent, a global talent consultancy providing clients with comprehensive strategies and solutions to recruit and retain high-performing leaders; build optimal and diverse organizational structures; and establish equitable, collaborative, and communicative cultures.

Among her many achievements, Moulton’s recent experience and accomplishments at Activision Blizzard and Spencer Stuart equipped the industry leader with the perspective and expertise to build and evolve extraordinary organizations powered by diverse and high-performing talent. With a reputation for building exceptional organizations across the world’s leading professional sports, entertainment and media companies, Moulton is an impact-driven change agent, notably diversifying leadership teams through the recruitment of women and underrepresented minorities.

Prior to Elevate, Liz served as the Global Head of Activision Blizzard’s executive and critical talent functions, where she redesigned the organization’s approach to executive recruitment and retention with a lens to diversifying the organization and driving a high-performance culture for the Fortune 500 gaming, esports, and content company. She oversaw all aspects of critical and executive talent, including succession planning, executive coaching, and leadership organizational design across its three global business units (Activision, Blizzard, and King), which together comprise over $8 Billion in revenues.

 

The nearly 25-year industry veteran grew and co-led Spencer Stuart’s global sports practice, driving growth threefold and leading talent consulting and executive recruitment for premier professional sports and entertainment clientele across the world, including the NFL, NHL, MLS, U.S. Soccer, the Big East Conference, Manchester United, City Football Group, and the Los Angeles Rams.

 

Liz earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and her master’s degree in leadership from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education (HGSE) where she focused her coursework at HGSE and Harvard Business School. She was a member of Georgetown University’s varsity field hockey team and spent her early career teaching and coaching in a secondary school. Moulton holds a seat on the board of PeacePlayers International, a foundation that utilizes the power of  sport to unite young people from divergent cultures. She resides in Salem, Massachusetts with her husband, Congressman Seth Moulton, and two daughters.
