Elevate Talent To Lead Search for U.S. Figure Skating CEO

ELEVATE’S EXECUTIVE SEARCH AND LEADERSHIP ADVISORY PRACTICE TO IDENTIFY SENIOR EXECUTIVE TO LEAD U.S. SKATING

Colorado Springs, CO | January 22, 2025 – U.S. Figure Skating has retained global leader Elevate Talent to lead the executive search for its Chief Executive Officer. This critical role will be responsible for driving key stakeholder relationships across the national and international sporting community; developing strategies to enhance programming and membership; and generating partnership and philanthropic revenue during the critical period leading up to and through the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina.

The CEO will be based in Colorado Springs, Colorado and report to the President of U.S. Figure Skating and its board of directors, which is comprised of 33 percent athletes. The CEO will lead a full-time staff of 61 people.

U.S. Figure Skating is a 501c(3) corporation and is the national governing body (NGB) of the sport. It works closely with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, also based in Colorado Springs.  U.S. Figure Skating has an annual budget of approximately $25 million. In the 2023-24 season, more than $8 million was spent in support of its athletes.

U.S. Figure Skating has contracts with several major partners and licensees (including NBC Sports) and sanctions more than 1,700 events each year. In the past decade (excluding the two Covid seasons), U.S. Figure Skating has consistently experienced annual membership increases and is represented by clubs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Additionally, Team USA earned three medals — two gold and one bronze — at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China.
